A Pulitzer Prize-winning comedy by George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart, the story takes place in mid-June, 1938. Two families, the delightfully, eccentric Sycamores who is engaged in activities such as collecting snakes, manufacture of fireworks, writing plays that never get published and taking ballet lessons meets the wealthy Kirbys when daughter, Alice Sycamore, brings son, Tony Kirby, and his family for dinner at the Sycamore home on the wrong evening to ask permission for marriage. Unfortunately, the dinner did on not go as smoothly as Alice had wished. You Can’t Take It With You is a fun, non-musical comedy for all to enjoy.
