Welcome from the White Hill Parent Club!
Dearest, most wonderful White Hill Parent and Guardian Community: White Hill Parent Club is a PARTY this year, folks, and everyone's invited! It's been waaaaaay too long since we've gotten together as a WH community, since our kids have had great events, and since our teachers and staff have gotten the support they deserve. But we're at a turning point now, and we're gonna ramp this all the way up to make White Hill the best middle school that ever existed in history (that is, since the '60s when middle schools were invented for some reason)! UPCOMING EVENTS Sep. 15 – WH Parent Social at the Dugout, snacks provided, drinks for purchase Sep. 18 – Familias en el Parque, Peri Park, 2:00-4:00pm, reunión de familias en español Sep. 23 – Wildcat Welcome for 6th Graders, 3:00-5:00pm, on campus (Sign up to help!) Oct. 7 – White Hill Family BBQ, come one, come all!!! (Sign up to help plan!)Oct. 28 – 7th and 8th Grade Halloween Dance Click here to RSVP (just so we get a rough idea of numbers – RSVP is not required to attend!) Much more to come…dances, rummage sale, beach blanket bingo…watch this space! GET INVOLVED! Do you have a good idea for the school? Let ‘er rip! Do you have some equipment that we could use for an event or campus improvement? An interest you'd like to share with students in an assembly or lunchtime club? Want to make our website better-looking? Anything! We especially encourage families from marginalized groups to participate and/or give us input. I know that the world of parent clubs around here is often overwhelmingly white, cis-gendered and able-bodied. We'd love to change that. And, of course, please consider donating to the Parent Club. Your donations fund class-wide field trips, staff appreciation, school and community events, materials for teachers’ classrooms, lunch clubs, recess/sports equipment, and so much more. Our goal is to raise $92,000 this year. THANK YOU SO MUCH to those of you who have already donated. And remember to submit a donation match if your employers offer this perk!
